Grounded in empathy, guided by curiosity.
HI, I’M CARYN
Caryn Cohen, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #153797
Supervised by Adina Ascher, LCSW #28900
I bring a little extra curiosity and creativity to therapy, shaped by my training in counseling psychology and by the years spent connecting with clients over my career as a hairstylist. Sitting with others through moments of change, challenge, celebration, and self-discovery taught me the value of authentic connection and the importance of feeling truly seen and heard.
That experience has nurtured my natural ease with vulnerability, a deep curiosity about the human experience, and an appreciation for the many ways people make meaning of their lives. Today, these qualities continue to shape my work as a therapist, supporting individuals in healing, reconnecting with themselves, and creating more authentic and fulfilling relationships.
I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages as they navigate anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I offer online therapy across California from my base in San Francisco.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
